Description & Additional Information

Contributing early twentieth-century one-slip frame boathouse, one story on water side with two-part, two-story section adjacent to shore (nearly flat roof is lower close to shore, steps up, then steps down slightly to one-story section). Cove siding. Narrow structure, just the width of a boat slip, with rooftop deck above slip; two-story section has a door and two windows facing onto the rooftop deck. One window on northeast side, two on southwest side. Built very close to shore; on shore side a door at second-story level connects to wood steps. A boathouse with the same distinctive one- and two-story configuration appears on the 1924 and 1914 Sanborn maps, but not the 1904 Sanborn map; owner information is that it was built before 1910.
