History: Per 1980 survey, this house was designed by architect Bruce Price (identified in the survey only as Emily Post’s father) and was based on the design of a house in Newport, R.I. Receipts survive in the Thousand Island Park Landmark Society office for materials purchased at Strough & Brooks lumber and millwork company in the village of Clayton, New York in 1892.
