Frame cottage, two stories, with rectangular footprint and cross-gable roof, bell-cast configuration at front (moderate pitch at center, lower pitch at sides over porch). Concrete pier foundation behind diamond-lattice skirting; cove siding; asphalt shingle roof. Two-story, full-width wraparound front porch with chamfered square posts, solid clapboard-sided rail at first floor, turned balusters at second floor, and spindle frieze (first floor only). Bands of pierced trim and truss ornament at porch gable peak. Two-bay front section of house has two paneled doors at first floor, two paneled doors at second floor, with a band of sawtooth trim above second-floor doors and vertical cove siding in gable. Wraparound porch terminates at one-bay cross-gable wing to either side; sandstone chimney at south gable end. Side windows include one-over-one and two-over-two double-hung wood sash. Two-story rear gabled wing; one-story shed-roofed rear addition.

History: In the early twentieth century, this was a boarding house known as the Wittenberg.
