Frame cottage, 1 ½ stories, two-bay facade, with cruciform configuration. Foundation concealed by square lattice skirting; shingle and composite shingle siding; asphalt shingle roof. Two-story front porch. First-floor porch spans front and wraps around both sides, terminating at one-bay by one-bay cross-gable wings. Porch has square posts, no rail, pierced brackets, diagonal cross frieze, exposed rafters at porch roof. Second-floor porch spans front-gabled section only, and has square posts, flat-sawn balusters, arched spandrels. Gable features elaborate sawn decoration including fan, knob, and sawtooth detail, flat-sawn trim in diagonal and wheel patterns, and exposed rafters. First-floor porch shelters two single doors, off center; porch also shelters second door and two-over-two window, at north and south sides. Second-floor porch shelters a single door at center. Flat-sawn pierced trim continuous at eaves. Gabled wall dormers with decorative rafter tails, at each side of front wing and one at each side wing. Side windows include one-over-one and two-over-two double-hung wood windows, as well as casement windows. The trim on this cottage appears to be original and is an excellent example of its style.
