Frame cottage, two stories plus tall attic, strongly vertical composition with a narrow three-bay facade; rectangular footprint and steeply pitched front-gabled roof. Foundation concealed by decorative flat-sawn skirting; cove siding; metal roof. Two-story, full-width front porch; both levels wrap right (southwest) corner. First-floor porch has chamfered posts, flared solid-sided shingle rail, plain frieze band, partially screened. Second-floor porch has chamfered posts, double-band rail with spindlework over flared solid-sided shingle rail, spindlework frieze band; partially screened. Gable with two-layered decorative truss, cove siding, decorative rafter tails. First-floor porch shelters double front door, at center, one-over-one window within angled bay, to either side; screen conceals additional openings. Second-floor porch shelters two single doors, at left and right; porch also shelters balcony with window at attic level; screen conceals additional openings. Lower cross gable at left side with pierced panels and decorative truss; two-story bay window ornamented with flared shingle siding up to window sill. Side windows generally one-over-one double-hung wood sash. Porch and gable sensitively rehabilitated in 2004 (Steve Taylor, designer and builder).
