Frame cottage, two stories, three-bay facade, with gable-and-wing configuration. Foundation concealed by square lattice skirting; cove siding; asphalt shingle roof. Two-story, full-width front porch; both levels wrap left corner. First-floor porch has chamfered posts, solid-sided rail, sawtooth frieze band. Second-floor porch has square posts, solid-sided rail, scrolled brackets, plain frieze band, exposed rafter tails. Gable has pierced panel decoration and decorative truss at peak and sawtooth trim. First-floor porch shelters single front door, at center, one-over-one window at either side; one-over-one window and single door at left side. Second-floor porch shelters two single doors at front; one-over-one window and single door at left side. Left gable with pierced panels and sawtooth trim. Brick chimney at right side. Side windows generally one-over-one double-hung wood sash. Shed-roof porch extension at rear. Wraparound section of front porch wrap added since 1980.

History: Per the 1980 survey, this cottage was used as a boarding house known as the Ross Cottage as of 1914.
