Frame cottage, 1 ½ stories, with irregular cruciform footprint and cross-gabled roof with a varied, picturesque roofline. Square tower with pyramidal roof surmounts main roof at juncture of gables; engaged turret Coast Avenue side. Foundation concealed by square lattice skirting; cove siding; asphalt shingle roof. One-story, full-width front porch wraps right (southwest) corner); second-story porches under front- and right-facing gables. First-floor porch has turned posts, flared solid rail with fishtail shingle siding, plain frieze band, and decorative exposed rafters. Second-floor porches with turned posts, paneled solid-rail siding, plain frieze band, fishscale pattern shingles at peak, and decorative carved vergeboard and rafter tails. Second-floor porches and portion of first-floor porch screened, appropriately. First-floor porch shelters single main entry door with sidelights, at center, with two-over-two double-hung windows at either side; bay window (turret above) with two-over-two windows. Wall dormer with decorative stickwork to each side of front gable. Tower has vertical wood siding and wall dormers at all four sides. Stone chimney, multiple eaves, and two entry porches at rear. Metal spires atop square and polygonal towers. Side windows generally two-over-two or one-over-one double-hung wood sash. Small one-story addition, compatible. Astrolabe sculpture at corner of lot.
