Description & Additional Information


Frame cottage, two stories, with gable-and-wing formation. Foundation concealed by vertical board skirting; cove siding; flared band of fishscale pattern shingles at base and first floor; asphalt shingle roof. Two-story, full-width front porch. First-floor porch has paired turned posts, flared solid shingle-sided rail, flattened arch spandrel with shingle siding. Second-floor porch has turned posts, flared solid shingle-sided rail, plain frieze band. Gable with shingle siding, double-hung 12-over-12 wood window. First-floor porch shelters two single doors, at center and right, angled bay window at left cutaway corner, projecting past the north wall at a sharp angle with a double-hung window at front, decorative geometric upper sash over single-light lower sash. Second-floor porch shelters one single door, at center, and two-over-two window at either side. Side windows generally two-over-two double-hung wood sash. Recessed two-story cross-gable wing at right (south), two widely spaced bays wide by two bays deep, with windowless faux dormers at front, bands of scalloped shingle siding below first- and second-floor lintels, and two-over-two windows; shed-roof screened porch at rear. This addition was constructed after 1980.
