Frame cottage, two stories, with cruciform configuration and cross-gabled roof with bell-cast form at front (steeper pitch at front gable, lower pitch above porch wraparounds. Foundation concealed by vertical board skirting; cove siding; asphalt shingle roof. Two-story, full-width wraparound front porch. First-floor porch has turned posts, turned balusters, arched and pierced brackets, pierced-panel frieze; partially screened. Second-floor porch has turned posts, turned balusters, diminutive brackets, pierced-panel frieze at sides and band of sawtooth trim at front wings. Gable features arched spandrels, decorative stickwork, pendants, pierced panels, scalloped trim, exposed rafters, with a prominent wheel motif at center. First-floor porch shelters single front door, at left, two-over-two window at left side; screen conceals additional openings. Second-floor porch shelters two single doors, at front; single door and two-over-two window at right and left sides sheltered by wraparound sections of porch. Two-story bay window at left side in cross-gable wing. Exposed beams and rafters at eaves. Side windows include one-over-one and two-over-two double-hung wood sash. Gable-roof porch addition, at rear. Cove siding restored and porch steps moved to front since 1996.

History: 1980 survey provided circa 1877 construction date, which may relate to first lot lease date; configuration and elaborate ornament suggest 1880s construction or expansion.
