Frame cottage, two stories, with T-plan configuration, cross-gabled roof with one-bay cross-gables to each side; oriented to the water (southwest) with rear (northeast) facing the street. One-story circular engaged pavilion porch at right (southwest) corner. Concrete pier foundation; foundation concealed by vertical board skirting at rear, flared shingle skirting at porch; cove siding; asphalt shingle roof. Two-story, full-width front porch. First-floor porch has with turned posts, double-band rail with turned balusters over solid shingle-sided rail, scrolled brackets; corner pavilion has flared solid-sided shingle rail, bank of two-over-one windows, plain frieze band, and scrolled brackets at overhanging eaves. Second-floor porch has turned posts, turned balusters; rail continues left and right of gable roof to create rooftop deck, including over porch pavilion. Gable with delicate pierced ornament at peak and exposed rafters. First-floor porch shelters picture window, at center, single entry door, at left. Second-floor porch shelters double door, at center, two-over-one window at either side, two-over-one window at far left, gabled wall dormer over single door, at far left; awning window in gable peak. Entry porch at right (south) side. One-story, two-sided bay window at left (north) side. Side gables closed, with raking deep cornice, patterned shingle siding, bargeboard, and paired sliding windows. Side windows include picture, awning, and one-over-one and two-over-one double-hung wood windows. Two-story addition at rear. This cottage had lost many historic features prior to 1980; since then it has been restored and rehabilitated through the addition of decorative elements based on historic features.
