Frame cottage, 1 ½ stories, two-bay by three-bay, with rectangular footprint and low-pitched, front-gabled roof; left (west) side oriented to Bay View Avenue. Foundation concealed by clapboard skirting; cove and pressed-metal siding; asphalt shingle roof. One-story full-width front porch with chamfered posts, flared solid shingle-sided rail, plain frieze band; screened. Porch shelters single door, at center, picture window, at left (west), and double-hung window, at right (east). Gable with pressed-metal siding and one-over-one window with flat hood mold. Shed dormer at each side, with pressed-metal siding. Side windows generally one-over-one double-hung wood windows. Rear gable with pressed metal siding and two one-over-one windows. One foundation-level window at each side. Full-width extension at basement level, at rear, with rooftop deck; deck has a solid shingle-sided rail.

History: According to the 1980 survey form, this cottage served as a home and basket weaving shop for the Watsows, who were Indigenous Canadians; owner also built 17071 Prospect Avenue (Lot 1705) for his sister.
