Description & Additional Information

Complex, three slip frame boathouse, one of the largest and most distinctive historic boathouses in Thousand Island Park. Historic photographs show this boathouse has evolved over time but has remained recognizable; its oldest section (farthest from shore) appeared on the 1914 Sanborn map, replacing an earlier structure shown on the 1905 map. Cove siding with stick-style horizontal and vertical trim; metal roofing. Parallel bowed roof forms; section farther from shore has monitor-like roof projection; shed-roofed extension on shore side. Three boat slip openings on east side; two doors and two window openings on south side toward river; four window openings on west side; two windows and a door in main boathouse facing shore plus two windows and another door in the shed-roofed extension. Narrow dock walkway connects boathouse to shore.
